What is the best water purification system for "car" camping?
My family of 6 will be car camping where we will need to use water from a local stream (in a wilderness area at about 5000-6000 feet.) I'm looking for a good water purification system. Weight is not an issue; small size is an advantage but not a big one. Effectiveness, reliabilty, ease of use and maintenance, and speed of operation are considerations.

- See if you have an Army/Navy surplus store. They have some pretty good water filtration devices. If not, check a camping store. (It'll be more expensive though.)
- First of all I hope you are not homeless with a family of 6 and if you are you should really seek out some help to find a place for your family. I'm not sure that living in a car in a wilderness would be the best for any of you. Plz,plz,plz,...re-consider. Feel Free to e-mail me and I will try and help. winterlvr66@yahoo.com
